Yep, I can see the Euro symbol just fine in FF (on Linux, no less). And the font isn't too small for me!

Though now you've got me curious to see what it looks like in IE ;)

Thanks gals, I'm feeling reassured...and I just found out you can alter the text size on FF and bring it more into line with what you see on IE. Ahhhh.... :)
