God fearin laundry maid seeks holiday rental...

Post scam emails to warn other rental owners, or if you are not sure if an enquiry is genuine, put it up here and see what others think.

God fearin laundry maid seeks holiday rental...

Post by Moon Dog »

Well this one really has amused me. Sounds like Veronica Gibson would make an ideal guest for any of us:

Hello Luke, thanks for your quick reply, I will only be staying for two weeks or a month and i will be moving in once we conclude with payment but if the reason arise for me to stay more, i will let you know.

I am married, generous, easy going and respectable woman, self motivator and adventurous, i like reading and love kids. I am God fearing with sense of humor lastly i love doing laundry........i think thats enough about me for now and you will know more when we get to meet soon.

Hope to hear from you soon and hope it will be a great stay with you, please note that I can only pay you by cheque which my husband will be sending to you on my behalf. Therefore i want you to furnish me with your full name, complete address and telephone number, so that i can proceed with payment immediately.

sincerely,
Mrs. Veronica

Ooo-er! Bet you can't wait Moodog!

Now - given that she loves doing laundry I can imagine the conversation will eventually get around to stains  ...so...can you ask her how one would get red Gatorade out of a blue linen throw?
(actually I'd pay her for that information  )

Mouse (who still feels left out - having never had a 'scam' email.)

“I am God fearing with sense of humor - The foreign spelling of humour is a give-away!

She’d better not apply here. When it comes to scams I am God and when it comes to scams I don’t have a sense of humour.

Mind you, Joan might forgive her if she does all the laundry.

I have to say this is one of the funniest scams I've read. I particularly like the "I want you to furnish me..."

Oh, we should write a book. Here's my latest I just received..

Hello Sir/Ma,
I have just received a request from a regular client that is
Corporation will like to send a group of 7 persons to your Country Hotel for a 7 days research Programme I will therefore like to know whether you can afford such a reservation.

They have refused the option to take up a rented accommodation in your area but the client as said he wants them to concentrate on the research rather than fending for their welfare. The guest check in date as follows:

Say what?!

They obviously want you to pay for it too.

What a hoot!

Do they realise how comical they are? perhaps they should apply for a tv talent show.
