How to compensate angry visitors?

I wouldn't be happy either! I think that's called wanting your cake and eating it( the owners that is!!)- they will be lucky to get away with 20% by the sound of it!!!! :roll:

What can I add? I would certainly go for the 20% - but they're not my clients, "just" friends. Clients take my advice, perhaps because they're paying for it (!) but friends consider free advice to be worth less and thus not necessarily the best advice.
Musicians are notoriously bad with money. Guess what the profession of my friends is? (Yes, they're both musicians......)
