Lay My Hat

I have had several enquiries this week from German clients requesting a discount in High Season.

Although I don't blame anyone for asking, I am afraid that I have very politely replied saying that the prices listed are correct and not negociable.

We have had many visitors from Germany in the past and none have ever requested a discount so it seems strange to get several within a few days.

Is the German media suggesting that people request a bargain in the current economoic climate or is this quite a usual occurence?

We have mainly German guests in the skiing season and, while they may say that we are too expensive (possibly hoping we will bring the price down), they rarely actually ask for a discount. Perhaps there has been an article or perhaps it is just coincidence.
