How to advertise your service

Here you can add your information in the form of a post on the forum. Each post is like a classified ad. Then anyone interested will contact you through a private message via the forum.

If you are posting in this section you must also provide a link to a webpage for your rental property.

There's no cost involved in this. But you do need to be a registered user to post your message. This is quick and painless - instructions for registering, posting, and checking messages follow below.


How to register:

Anyone can read the forum, but to post a message you have to be a registered user - this is free and quickly done. We ask that you register to avoid abuse of the forum by spammers and other undesirables.

1. Click on Register at the top of the page:

2. Click that you agree to the terms of the forum, and you get to the Registration page.

3. On the Registration page, fill in the fields. You have to fill in the username, email and password at the top. The profile information is optional - the point of it is to give other users a rough idea of who you are, because it is always nicer to know who you are talking to.

4. When you have filled in the fields you want to, click on Submit at the bottom

5. You are now registered. If you want to change any of the information, including your password, you log in and click on Profile.



Logging in:
You can log in either by clicking on 'Log in' at the top of the forum pages, or fill in your username and password at the bottom - it looks like this:

Posting your message

Go to the Owner-to-Owner section and click on 'newtopic'

You are taken to the message screen.

Describe your service, including where in the world you can supply it.

In the Subject field, write a descriptive summing up of your service, e.g. Professional photos of your property in Tuscany.


Editing or deleting your post

Once you have finished your message you can click on Preview to check how it will appear, and Submit to get the message posted to the forum.

Even once the message is up on the forum, you can make changes, correct errors, or add new information - go to your post and click on the Edit button to the right. This takes you back to the posting form where you can make your changes, and click Submit when you are happy.

To delete your post, click 'Edit' and check 'Delete this Post'. Click 'Submit' to finish deleting the post.


How people get in touch with you

Interested owners will contact you through the forum's Private Message (pm) facility.

Check your private messages by logging in. At the top of the page you will then see it either says 'You have no new messages' or 'You have (x) new messages'. If you click on this line it takes you to your Private Message area. This looks and works just like a basic email package.

To reply to a message, open it and click on 'postreply'. You then have a message screen which is the same as when you post a message on the forum. Just write your message and click 'Submit' to send it.
