Hi

I think it used to be more important than now.

There are sites above me on google for my main keyword with lower PR.

The guru's suggest that inward links from higher PR sites carry more weight.

Having said that, have you noticed that google, searching on links, recognizes only a small % of total links ?

I use these people for a snapshot of current inbound links : http://www.linkpopularity.com

He has indeed :?: :?:

Page rank means little nowadays. What is far more important, as has been suggested, are links with relevant anchor text, as well as page title and optimising your page content.

Google PR

Hi all

Page Rank is affected by incoming and outgoing links BUT NOW Google has changed the rules!

Google is paying more attention to the content so incoming and outgoing links must be relevant to the page with the links. I have found a good article about this

http://www.site-reference.com/articles/ ... ettle.html

It's worth taking a look

Hi

Joanna, that link works OK for me.

In fact the article has been syndicated widely : you can also pick it up here http://www.goarticles.com/cgi-bin/showa.cgi?C=88113
