Looking for 3ish month let in Brecon area

Post by Chambo »

A bit of a long shot but we finally got an offer on our French property, and it looks like it might just happen for us...

We want to rent in the Brecon region for about 3 months, from the start to mid-November. We are 2 adults, 2 small children, 1 dog and need internet access. We would love 2/3 bedrooms and would consider anywhere, even a place that needs a little work...!

Is there anyone out there that might have or know of someone who has a property that might be available?

Cheers in advance.

Thank you Margaret for replying - I love the look of your property but I'm afraid that it is a bit too far from where we want to be.
Cheers, though!

To change the initial question - does anyone know any good websites which advertise long-term lets? I'm having many frustrating web searches... I enquired to quite a few properties from stayinwales and 1 bothered to reply.

It's quite annoying being someone 'on the other side' for once!

Have you contacted the letting agents in the area you want to stay. They will have contacts for shorter term lets.

It is better to remain quiet and have one think you are stupid, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt....

Try the Hay on Wye site. They have masses of accommodation listed because of the Hay festival and it covers quite a wide area. I would have thought somebody would be interested in a winter let.

Thank you, brilliant advice from both of you. I hadn't even considered letting agents.. dur...

If anyone out there is looking for a good service, an agency, wales-holiday.co.uk have also been really helpful and proactive in finding somewhere that might be suitable.

Thanks, though!
