Here I am going to list relevant companies that run an affiliate programme - this means that if you go to the site by clicking on a link here, Lay My Hat/I gets a commission on anything you buy, and you don't pay any extra. So it's a good way to support the forum. (The cost of running LMH on a secure server is surprisingly high).

If you have any suggestions for other companies offering affiliate programmes, please PM me.

If you are going to shop for something on Amazon, please click on the country-specific link to the site:
For UK: Amazon.co.uk
For USA: Amazon.com
For France: Amazon.fr

I didn't realise you had affiliation with all of those, and I use many of them myself so I will endeavour to remember to access them via LMH...

Could you get Out of Eden on there Paolo? I use them quite a bit too.

I have used the Amazon one when I've remembered Smile

Out of Eden don't run an affiliate scheme. I am waiting to hear back from Land's End and Waitrose. They don't all say yes because some don't see LMH as 'relevant' to their brand.

Have added La Perla and Agent Provocateur because they offer very sensible undergarment solutions and it is getting chilly now.

Maybe I'm being thick, but how are the above two "relevant" to LMH? Apart from finding the odd garment left behind by renters, I'm struggling to find the link Confused

They don't give much of an explanation when they reject you, and I suppose some brands just want to flog their wares to anyone. Even us...

This is great, thanks. We use Amazon a lot and will link through LMH.

Is there a way to make these 'link' buttons more visible, at least for the run-up to Christmas? People can do their christmas shopping through LMH Smile

I was thinking along the lines of having them visible in some of the higher traffic areas of your site. Especially the Amazon and other big ones that will be frequently used during the holiday shopping season. Perhaps a banner with a list of sites or a button on the top with 'How to Support Us' that shows up even when people are in different forum areas.

Realize you may not want to be too commercial normally, but may be just for the holiday season?

Good idea! I was coincidentally shopping online at Amazon earlier and remembered the LMH link but had to do a search to find the thread.
I shop online a lot but confess I usually completely forget about the link - a banner or something more visible would jog memories and I certainly wouldn't object to it.
