Jane,
Goat always figures in the list of ingredients of a well-made stew - it's the very definition of a well-made stew. I apologise for my fellow-members who use the s..w word.
Now, a well-made casserole is another matter........

Is Beef Bourgignon considered a stew? If so, stew's all right by me.

And anyway, I think a good beef stew is hard to make, but when it is, oh yum.

stew is lovely!! Stick a handful of barley in or some dumplings and you're set.

Ooh,I saw something on the tele recently where they were looking for the best curried goat!!Turns out it's in Birmingham-the Island Hut in the Lascelles area!! Stay away from there Jane :wink:

When we were at uni the local curry place got closed (not for long!!)cos Red setter was found in the freezer!! They did make the best curries in the whole of the Gower though!!

That's totally credible, Fraise - everyone I know in the restaurant trade says that they would never eat in a restaurant (in any restaurant).
But: how did the police know that it was Red setter?

I'm now going to do my Michael Caine bit. "Did you Know" in Indian cuisine all lamb curries are actually made of goat?

Errr..if you mean the milky white streaks you get on glass over time, I think the opposite is true. This is caused by the discoloration of the lead content in the glass from dishwasher liquids over time, which is why you always have to hand wash cut glass (i.e. lead crystal).
