I have the opportunity to go with family this Summer. Looks lovely but with maybe not a great deal to do if the weather isn't great. That wouldn't bother my wife and I but we have children to keep occupied too. Is there enough to see and do there even if the weather's not good?
Thanks.
Anyone here been to Islay/Jura?

Kendal Holiday Cottages Ltd., Kendal, Cumbria - between the Lake District & the Yorkshire Dales.
I loved Islay/Jura. Not sure how much there is for kids though other than walks and sight seeing. I've happy memories of visiting several distilleries with dad.
Jura is good for a scenic run on the very interesting ferry. There's one pub there and lots of deer and not much else! We did see some eagles though which was spectacular.
We stayed in Bowmore and Port Charlotte, both lovely for scenic walks. You can see an original Spinning Jenny in the mill at Bridgend, probably just me on that one though as I'm very interested in the Industrial Revolution!
