Above ground pools - thinking of buying one, advice for ?
The winter cover is really to stop it filling up with leaves etc, it's like a very fine mesh so rainwater still gets through. Running the pump at night during the coldest period keeps the water moving so it can't freeze. Ours is exposed on all sides too, although part of that is covered with decking so you can't see it, but there's no insulation under the deck area. I've just checked our site and there aren't many pool pics showing so I can dig some out and show you the completely exposed end if you like?
