Olympics rentals - price increase or not?

Post by AlastairW »

We just had an enquiry for the two weeks of the Olympics for July/August next year. We don't normally get enquiries so far in advance and two week bookings are rare so I'm assuming there's an Olympic connection.

I hadn't thought to increase the price for those two weeks and I'll honour the advertised prices if they want to book.

If they don't book should I consider increasing the prices of those weeks? Our cottage is in the Cotswolds and I would have thought well away from any Olympic interest.

Ask them if it's olypics - related to see if there's a connection?

I think if there is then increase the prices! Even if it's a last minute booking in July 2012 it'll pay off, it's just a case of holding your nerve!

just had a look at your beautiful property and I know Bourton (gorgeous) and you are in one of the best spots. I think your prices are far too low for a four bedroomed property of that quality anyway. Just my view.
