Thanks LV. Yes, I came across leboncoin only recently after some friends sold their property through the site and I've been seriously impressed. Managed to track down a pair of hard to find sky-blue original panniers (it's a boy thing!) for my beloved sky-blue Solex moped, being sold by a delightful French guy in Dunquerque.

But AI has been useful, mainly due to huge house sales by ex-pats scuttling back to the Sceptered Isle. I've upgraded my ageing garden fleet and workshop tools this year - and at knock-down prices. Been worth the occasional argy-bargy from 'strange' vendors.
