Topic Reply Notification problem

Post by paolo »

Some people are receiving bogus topic reply notifications by email. The links in these are not to laymyhat.com, they are to laymyhat.prizen.net addresses. When you click on one you are then asked for a username and password.

So do not click on them and do not enter your username and password. Authentic notifications from this forum do not ask for username and password.

I am having this matter looked into by the tech guy.

thanks for the warning - I had one - and as I can never remember usernames and passwords I just deleted it and hoped that by coming straight on here I would still be logged on.

Actually it is nothing to worry about, the people hosting the site are testing a new data centre, they forgot to tell me about these odd messages.

Oh, good! Glad it had a simple explanation Paolo.
