I'm still not entirely sure what you're after from that reply, but the management system I would recommend (and many others here, I'm sure) is e-richard's PIMS. It's web-based, though.

See http://www.holidayrentalmanagement.com for details.

I took "not website based" to imply not associated with a listing site, as in HomeAway's offering, so maybe something like PIMS would still fill the bill?

I've been using pims for almost a year now and its been an absolute pleasure. I'm not sure how I ever managed without it before. The task management and email template functionality are a blessing.

PIMS is fantastic, easy to set up to your needs. Been using it 3? years now. Richard is always at the end of an email to help if you get stuck!

This looks quite complicated to me. 1. Is it expensive? 2. Is it worth it for one little budget rental cottage??

I am looking for a template for a booking form to send out to clients - otherwise I am not sure whether I need something this detailed. :?

LC, I confirm that following my phone call, I have emailed to you copies of the templates in English and French I have been using for the past 20 years. They are Word documents so you can adapt them as required.

Hi, Yes, received the templates, thank you so much. However, Word does not enable me to edit them, and there would be an awful lot to edit. :?
