Don't tell me I missed the end of the world, again.

Not at all, Marks - you just haven't realised yet that you're dead, you live on existentially in the artificial reality of LMH.
Simple, really.

It's the end of the world on Friday 21st apparently. I'm debating whether or not it is worth going to the trouble of preparing all the gites for the Christmas arrivals on 22nd December

Well, you wouldn't want to leave them messy would you, LV?
You'll get extra Brownie points from St Peter if they look sparkling! (A better quality harp, maybe - perhaps a Les Paul!)

I think it is "eyebrows wars" with the salon next door who are charging £4. I would never pay more than £5, shudder!
This reminds me of the cover of a Superman comic cover, a lady saying "Oooh, the end of the world and me in this old dress".
