Rental accounting software? Expense reports etc.

Agencies and other headaches, keys and cleaners, running costs and contracts...in short, all the things we spend so much of our time doing behind the scenes.<br>

Rental accounting software? Expense reports etc.

Post by Morelans »

Hello..

I have used Quickbooks before and I see they also have something called Quicken's Rental Property Manager. Has anyone used it or do you have another you prefer?

I am not stuck with Quicken, I am open. I need a way for me to keep track of Rents / Expenses / checks and such. Nothing major, just for tax purposes and to see if we are really ever going to make any money at this.

I use Quickbooks Pro and set it up as a Property Management Company. Works fine. I'm not an expert at all, but found it fairly easy to adapt with a couple of pointers from my CPA. The tedious part is creating all the vendor files before entering and paying the bills, but it tells you a lot more than Excel will ever reveal, and in any number of forms - graphs, charts, P&L etc.

Don't know Quicken Property Manager, sorry, so can't tell you how this differs.

Your home looks beautiful. :)
