Website Keywords In Footer

Everything to do with using your own website to advertise your rental property. Design, usability, hosting, getting listed on the search engines, optimising your site, pay-per-click, etc, etc.

Website Keywords In Footer

Post by paul smith »

Hi all,
Wonder if you wise webmasters can answer one for me :D

I have a small template based website which I have designed on line and has been live now for 3 months or so. Would like to know if one wanted to increase listings ranks by adding more text which is relevant to the site, if I put in in the footer section, would the text in the footer still be picked up by search engines and crawlers??

Points to rememeber I only have the option to put in a title and keywords only.

Regards
Paul

Hi

I think the robots will pick up the extra text OK (google robot is already picking up your footer )

Although I've read that the robots attribute more importance to text at the top of the page, this website has been succesful in using the footer to establish keywords with google. e.g. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... +in+france
