I seem not to be receiving any topic reply notifications.

I think it may have been going on for a day or so. Anyone else have the problem?

Working fine for me.

A long shot:
Check your profile. Click the link at the top of this page, and see Preferences down the page.

Always notify me of replies: this should be ticked on.

I'm not technically enabled  but that was the first thing I checked  and "notify me when a reply is posted" is ticked. I used to get them, but not anymore. :?

I'm not getting them either; they now end up in my spam mail which I have to check daily:(

I have notifications turned on and they might be going into Spam but I can't get into Spam on the email I normally use.

I will change the email and see what happens

edit: that seems to have worked

Good suggestion, pepsipuss - let's hope it works!

Changing e-mail address (and provider) worked. I guess the previously nominated address provider had a stricter spam filter
Anyway, happy purrson now

The above range of experiences are an excellent example of how the landscape of Spam Filtering is constantly changing. In particular filtering of emails that have been sent by computerised systems.

Computerised systems such as LMH or perhaps HL or HA or Airbnb or any other listing site.

So, if a few people here are having problems, imagine how many of your computerised emails responding to guest enquiries are not getting through   :?

Absolutely true.

What does interest me though is the fact that eBay don't seem have the same problems. I can only assume that as they are recognised as a worldwide company in the same ilk as Google, PayPal, Apple and the banks that the email daemons recognise their domain and filter effectively for them. Due to the sheer volume involved this could be a "learning" experience for the daemon software, in which case, HL will get the same "learnt" stage sometime after the next millennium. Or it could be that there is a worldwide body/club/association/directory of daemons (a standards body) that recognise these bigger companies and government domains and allow for them in their processing. Or I could have just made all this up and HL are just crap.

All my notifications were indeed in spam but for some reason the spam folder in the address I was using had gone 'dark' and so was not showing in its usual place.

When I searched for it I found all sorts of things that shouldn't have been there including one quite important email from 4 April. Grrrr!

Does anyone know how to recover the Spam folder in gmail when it is not showing on the left along with Drafts, Inbox, Sent Items?

Edited to say have worked out how to get the SPam folder back in its place!

In the top right, you'll see a sort of cog with a drop down arrow. Click and select Settings..., then in the top menu, select Labels.
Find Spam and ensure its on show, not hide. If show is in blue, then click it and you're done.
