No worries. If you do go with babygoes2, please mention my name (Lynne Mendoza). Can't help to let them know that I've been spreading the word...!

I think your house looks lovely. Next time I'm planning a multi stop summer in France with the kids then you would be top of my list.

Can I make a suggestion though re your website? The first photo you see of the house and courtyard is very shady, even though there is plenty of blue sky. As a punter I would be much more swayed by a lovely, sundrenched image. However, this is coming from someone whose home page photo suffers the same problems...(to be rectified soon - honest!).

no the comments are more than welcome - i know whatyou mean over the photo in fact we both commented tonight on the house looks bleak - problem was when we took the photo it was october last year when it finally had the shutters on it had meant we had packed the gazebo etc away - leaving it well rather bland.

come the nice weather though in april \ may we will redo all the photos - it just takes time and we didnt have enough this year considering we rebuilt the whole house in less than 6 months

Hello Martin and welcome to LMH. Hope your 2006 season is going well. As ever, I agree with everything the Divine MrsM/Lynne has to say. I would just add two comments:

1. Previous threads have suggested that for a house of your size that it is useful to have a "house plan" showing the layout of the house and, in particular, the bedrooms. This seems to work on a "bums on beds" theory so that potential guests know where they are staying!

2. I suspect that your site is lovely, but the photos took ages to load up on my computer. But it could be that I'm still in the year dot!

Our floor plans have been very popular. My sister says it's a bit strange though when the guests actually arrive. Having never set foot in the house, they go straight to the bedrooms "...and this is John's room, and this is Jane's room" etc. :)

As a punter, I prefer floorplans. Especially in a large house where you might be wanting to accommodate a few extra children. Helps you work out if the space is available.
