To reactivate this old thread...same problem for us as well.

We receive some posting notification emails saying that someone has replied on a thread, but then we'll return to the thread and see that many other posts have been added without any subsequent email notifications.

If you've started the thread and various LMHers take the trouble to reply, often you have no idea that those replies are coming in. Especially if you've started several threads, it is difficult to keep track of all the activity without the email notifications.

Some members must think that you're not interested in discussion when you don't return to a thread

Same problem here - I get round this by logging in and clicking on the "posts since last visit" button.
