Safety Film for Glass

Post by joddle »

In the UK it is easy to buy safety film to put on glass so it won't shatter all over the place. In offices it is used for blast protection and in the home to make glass safer for children or pets. It has a peel off back then applied to the glass with water and once dry is all but invisible get offers a high degree of protection.

Although I can get it in the UK I can't seem to find it here in Spain - perhaps partly because I have no idea what it is called! Does anyone know what it's called here and from where it can be bought?

Saw your question on another forum. Not posting on that one because of all of the twits who post there, but it has calmed down a bit now.
So to answer your question.
You need to look for some láminas para ventana which you find various films or something which define your search a bit better is "Lámina de seguridad"
Something like this.
http://www.prosol-laminas.es/11-antifragmento-antirobo
http://www.ifoha-folie.com/es/seguridad ... antirrobo/
There maybe other websites and suppliers.
Hope that helps.

Just hope you can find something locally. I would also suggest you try asking at window manufactures.

If you have not solved your problem take a look on the brume.co.uk site, we have purchased stuff from them including decals and window film

glass safety film is also sold in Mothercare

Also if there is something you can buy in the UK only but not abroad you could use the forward2me company that will forward the product for you. Did it for a Sainsbury Xmas shop!!

Is forward2me a 'signed for' delivery service? I can't get post at my property and have to go into the village to collect mail.

I think its 'signed for' as it is probably always couriered but I would double check their website. I have only done it once.
