The fact that the euro is at last decreasing in value to where it should be is good news for us on the continent (with UK guests!)
I might even be able to increase my peak prices from those of 2011 if it continues to fall.

Don't know whether it's just me but today in particular has been extremely busy with enquiries and bookings. Over Christmas it was really slow and the rush I'd anticipated just didn't happen but as soon as New Year arrived and in the days since there's been a real build up of activity culminating in a bit of a frenzy today. I did find the Holiday Lettings site access really slow this morning so wondered if that might be due to lots of activity on there as well (or maybe it's just my computer!).
We're all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars

Busiest booking month yet! 14 bookings since the end of Dec, from either OD, HL or own website but the vast majority have been OD.

Ditto for us too, 3rd full year of renting in Cornwall and we've had the highest number of bookings at this time of year since starting. 14 weeks booked this year already.

Also, already got booked 12 weeks in our new condo rental in Florida, happy days.

We have just had a dump of snow in Chamonix......3 bookings in 2 days! All from AirBNB.
We have had 15 bookings since the new year so pretty booked out for the winter season.
I'm not too sure how the summer season will go on AirBNB so trying to spread my marketing wings a little.....in the process of trying homeaway and thinking about abritel.

Fourth quarter 2014 we got 31 bookings for 2015, so this looks very promising!
Begin of January we got 7 bookings and since 2 weeks it´s death calm.

Very low quality enquiries, like … “we are with five, can we rent the entire boat for 90 euro per day” or “all our kids want, for their privacy, their own cabin … o, sorry this is far above our budget¨ or ¨we thought that was the rate for the entire boat instead of only one cabin..¨

Since 1st of January we got 51 enquires, most of them are shoppers.
The enquiries came from;
19x BedandBreakfast.com
13x our own website
7x Homeaway
12x from various rental sites.
Sail with the wind from today and count your blessings!
