AirBnB reviews are 'untrustworthy'

Post by la vache! »

Interesting article - guest checked out and didn't actually stay in the appartment, full refund from Airbnb, booking cancelled so he couldn't leave a review.

The guest got a "review" of sorts courtesy of the Telegraph. Unfortunately it didn't pinpoint the particular apartment in Madrid. I must say it looked disgusting as some unaware new guest will find out.

Things that make you go hmmmm!

Wonder why the owner signed up to ABnB in the first place given those standards. They were never going to get their money.

Its a difficult one. But as the guest didn't actually stay there and got a full refund, why should he be able to write a review? I hope that AirBnB took appropriate action against the owner - I'm sure they did.

If the same property is by chance on Trip Advisor can the fleeting guest post a review?

I thought the same. I would also hope that Airbnb would continue allowing advertising a property with those conditions

If there's no such thing as co-incidence, then why is there a word for it?

You can get pasties in Madrid? Oh well, I suppose if you can get paella in Cornwall I shouldn't be too surprised.

It's probably not a pasty but an empanada. Which is basically a pasty but Spanish & thus not limited to meat and potato as contents
