Dear fellow forum members,
I was browsing through some of real estate norwegian websites the other day and I was impressed by how cheap properties cost there.
However I could not find any good free translation website to help me with the understanding of what was being advertised.
Can anyone fill me in with regard to the types of property ownership in Norway, what taxes are payable, the inheritance law, letting opportunity, property management and running costs (heating/electricity/maintenance) ?
I got the impression most of the houses are built with wood and could not see anything more than 40 years old.
So what is the lifespan of a building there?

Thank you.

Electricity might work out a bit more in winter as there is only few hours light and then gets dark quickly :-)

But regarding to info you need, i think if you just find any contact and email them they will be able to reply as most of the people from those countries up north they speak english
