If you are a regular facebook user and fancy hanging out there with other holiday accommodation owners (property in UK and Europe only) then feel free to join our new group. You need to have a website, a link to an advert on a reputable listing site or a business facebook page as an entry requirement.

Hmm the group was originally going to be just for UK owners, then we expanded it to Europe. I'll have a chat with the admin team. Nothing personal at all.

That's absolutely fine, I was just asking and no worries, I completely understand if it's just UK and Europe I was just confused if it was UK and Europe properties and not owners (hope that makes sense :D )

No, B & B and other accommodation types welcome. The main group we're not catering for is caravan owners.

You can read the few group entry rules in the group description before you apply to join. One is that we're not allowing in people who use their business name as their profile name. It actually breaks fb rules and we want to talk to the people behind the business, so I'm sorry if some of you have applied but the profile is in your business name; we won't be letting you in. Feel free to join as yourselves though :)

Facebook the end of internet forums?

Not at all - a place for both. You can't organise facebook into the sections and the search is very difficult. This will remain the go to bible, but lots of people access facebook several times a day, so it's good for quick questions and general chat.

I'm liking that as a closed group it is much more private.

This forum is a bit too well indexed by the search engines for my liking. I know the member's only area is safe but an awful lot of conversations still go on outside that area and if I'm going to whinge about broken loo seats I probably don't want potential guests to read about it!
