This is seriously useful little tool:

If you've got a 'longish' url like:

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/offers.adp ... st=&q=&qc=

(try and repeat that to your granny on the 'phone '...just wait, dear, I'll go and sharpen my pencil....') then hop along to:

www.tinyurl.com

copy/paste it in there, and you end up with:

http://tinyurl.com/lahre

which is a bit better for granny.

Don't know how it works, but it does. Or does everyone know about it?

I've definitely seen it around, but I've never used it. :)

What an amazing tool. It's especially useful for putting the tiny URL into emails.

I've been using it since MG pointed us to it, but very occasionally it won't work for a recipient.

Could be me I suppose!
