Friend has bought a heat pump condensor and really wished she hadn't. It takes forever to dry anything.

It does take longer than normal, but because it recirculates the heat, even running for longer, it is still cheaper to run. Mine is in a separate external laundry room so the noise running for longer isn't a problem, but it might get annoying if it were in a kitchen.

She uses her tumble dryer when she needs to dry things quickly, so it wasn't a good buy.
