I've just tried it but nothing happened except a link to my website.......
am I supposed to upload more pics?

You put in a link, say to a page on your website. FB will grab an image or images from that location. You can add more images from your computer or remove images. When you've added all five images you want (I think the max. is five), you can add a covering message before posting. When you're done you publish or schedule the post. If someone clicks an image it goes to the website page.
EDIT: NB If there's only one image it won't be much of a slide show.

thanks cassis, seems obvious now.......
All it did was ask me for the link to a (my) site....I thought it would select the 5 carousel photos from there and I would have approval first.
Will have another go sometime.

Yes, that's what I thought it would do as well. It's not exactly intuitive, which is unfortunate given it comes without instructions.
