Hello

I don't think any of them are correct as the 's' is missing at the end. My French isn't perfect, but our sign, and those of other local chambre d'hôtes is Chambre d'hôtes (or chambre d'hôtes)

I've only seen chambres d'hôtes used on listing sites, and tourist office etc. where they are listing more than one. I suppose it's the equivalent of saying 'bed and breakfasts'.

Hope this helps... we also found it very confusing when we set up, but have had no one snigger at our sign so I think it's okay!

As a French native speaker, I confirm gitemontjoly's answer:
because you propose only 1 bedroom, your sign should mention "Chambre d'hôtes".
If, in the future, you offer more than one, the correct grammar would be "Chambres d'hôtes".

But the most important is ... the location of your signs, in order that your guests find you easily :)

On a side issue, if you're looking for a company to make up a sign that will last and not fade, at a good price, I can recommend "PrintConcept.fr".

This sign in Alu Dibond 3 mm, Quadrichrome, printed front and back, 800 x 800 mm cost us just €60 a couple of years ago and it's as good as new. Aluminium dibond is very hardwearing.

Oh, thanks Phil, that's really useful - there was a local company who did my signs in that stuff here, but they've gone bust and some drunken driver drove off the road and damaged mine last year - I now know where I can get it replaced :)
