Cleaning Brass

I know this sounds really silly but I've been having real problems get old doorknobs to look clean again. I ended up finding this clip which helped massively. videojug.com/film/how-to-clean-brass

What's everyone else's tips? I'd be intrigued to know...

Dont bother cleaning brass-lifes toooo short

LMAO...I know, thanks for the much needed advice. Although I do find it fairly therapeutic, especially when you get the finished result. Beautiful!
