Contract for a one month rental?

Post by cleanforum »

We have our t&cs of course which I always considered the basis for our "contract" with the guests. However here I am being asked by a dutch guest for a specific contract in the name of the renter for a 1 month rental.

I have never been requested to do this before.

Anyone any comments or experience of this?.

Surely your specific T&C's are the contract between you and the renter during an agreed short term holiday period and they are required to be agreed and signed prior to arrival and are final. They should not be up for debate or negotiation, should they?
Is your prospective guest confusing holiday rental agreements with those of long term lets?
Have you asked the enquirer why he requires a 'specific contract'?

Thanks, Yes my position exactly. I have sent a message asking them for clarification.

Perhaps they need it for tax purposes or for their own extra protection...I really don´t need the rental that much and I have already made significantly discount for the months stay.
