Hiya Girls I'm here...but it's quite lonely talking to oneself so I prefer to join in with the rest of the gang for company on the other forums! :D

Oh Ros! I ain't Grecian, but if my hairdresser cannot fit me in before I go off to Spain next week I will be reaching for a bottle of the stuff

Maybe I'll start another topic in this forum later...I say later cos I have had a few...and we all know what happens when talking thru drink. :D  :D  :D

Back on topic Wolbert...if Carol is intending to let out her property in Greece she will have no doubt enquired about her EOT licence which is required by law. See my posting here

In doing so she would have found out all the rules and regulations re-swimming pools. Unfortunately I cannot help her in this matter as I had excellent Project Managers who took care of all the EOT licence requirements for me.

Thanks for your compliment Fraise.

I am going off topic here, but considering the swimming pool question came up 6 months ago I think it will be allowed.

Most of the villa rental market is based on the east coast of Corfu, but we decided to go with the west coast which is our personal favourite. Oh, there was the doom and gloomers who predicted failure, but we could quite easily see that there was an opening there.

We did briefly consider a contract with one of the larger villa companies who are quite eager to take on properties in this area, but we took the risk of diy letting. It has been such a success, we could have filled the weeks twice over. There is another villa in our area which is new this year, judging by their busy availability chart the owners seem to be doing very well with bookings too.

There are only direct flights from the UK to Corfu from May-October, visiting outwith these months entails a flight change in Athens. Hence all our costings etc are based on 5 months letting. (we are considering any bookings for October as a bonus.)

I had great success in manipulating 2 enquiries from the dates they initially suggested to dates which helped fill my calendar in a more 'economical' manner. This I would never even have thought of as possible never mind successfull until I read the postings on this forum. So a big thank you to my fellow Lay My Hatters! :D :D :D
