So sorry if I appear ignorant but do you make the stuff then or something, do tell, I'm all ears......do Partridge's have ears ?

I know we were robbed but that happens every time we have a bottle of decent wine in any restaurant in London anyway

GG..you're very clever for a Goat (note you've got a capital G now)..I was still scratching my head at Ros's little puzzle...still trying to work it out...don't ever use me as a "phone a friend"!!

Ros....can I send you a 'virtual' birthday cake?...Sorry but the weight of the candles would cost me too much in postage

Partridge...I really want to be anonymous...but can confirm Crystal is the genuine stuff!

Anglia Tele had a teatime programme called Romper Room.
and it was hosted by someone called Miss Rosalyn
She had the children in the group and they played games etc and the hilight was at the end she would say Romper Stomper Domper Do tell me Tell me Tell me Do
The tele would go fuzzy & she would pick up a mirror[secretly put it down & pick up a mirror with a hole in it and say who she could see[children with birthdays that day]
but she never said Rosalyn as that was her name!!!

Hopefully someone else in the universe or UK would do saw this and can verify that Im not a complete twit.
So as I never had a birthday verified by miss Rosaly & Anglia Television Im actually only 2 [that could explain a lot]  :D
Ah, Romper Room. Although a born and bred sarf Londoner, I used to spend my summer holidays in my early years with some friends of my mothers, who lived not far from Ely. So my exposure to Romper Room is not as extensive as yours, but I can confirm your comments; apparently therapy is not essential, but probably desirable, to recover from the effects of early Anglia TV.

Of course, that was in the days when ITV was truly regional, so things like RR (and Rocket Robin Hood?) never made it dahn sarf.

I had no idea it was from London. We watched it in Florida and I just thought they talked funny.

Thanks for that Deb

I thought I was almost there..... Miss Rosalyn putting the hand mirror down[noiisily] the screen going fuzzy picking the mirror up with a hole in it and mentioning a Rosalyn, ....and I can see you, :D

I did used to laugh as she had the children playing games and running round but one always played her up the camera would move & the offending child would disappear after a lot of shuffling offscreen....[maybe theyre in the vaults of Anglia House....]

Ive only just realised for fifteen yrs Ive worked with the same age children as here and Im Miss Rosalyn.....must have had more of an impact than I thought......[havent shuffled any kids of though....yet]

But it didnt come from London it was Anglia you must remember
a silver knight in armour on a horse????[dont ask] going round in circles.[what was that about]
They only changed it a short while back so it could be more digital. 8)

ah boy!!!!! what do you mean they talked funny]

This was when regional Tele was made regionally by regional people who lived in the region & talked regionally.
Not know where they all sound that theyve swallowed a dictionary[but never read it]

As usual a load of words when only a few would do!!!!!!
