Well, we did it!

We are now ex-on-site owners. All went through smoothly and we just beat the referendum fallout - we bought from people going back to the UK. Seriously enjoying furnishing the house to our taste without worrying if guests will approve.....but more importantly, our first grandson arrived just before midnight last night. Born at home in Berlin, two weeks late and a bit of a whopper at just over 9lbs. Can't wait to get out there (unencumbered by host duties) to meet him. 
The newest addition is a little bit poorly - nothing too serious - and I am very relieved that I am not having to be in full Mrs Mop/Smiley meet and greet host mode at the moment.
