Business Rates

Agencies and other headaches, keys and cleaners, running costs and contracts...in short, all the things we spend so much of our time doing behind the scenes.<br>

Apologies, one more question . . .

Has anyone encountered any problems with the council saying they need to apply for planning permission for change of use when applying to move to business rates from council tax?

Many thanks :D

Just by way of an update, I had our house re-assessed for business rates as a FHL and have now been granted 100% rates relief and have also had a refund of council tax paid since it has operated as a holiday let.
I'd rather be cycling

We completed on our holiday home on 12th December. Scarborough Borough Council sent us a letter dated 13th December with a questionnaire asking for the dates we intended to let the property and what we were going to do on the dates it isn't let out. Maybe SBC are unusual in being so quick off the mark!
