Do Pillow Protectors Protect?

This kind of thing. I bought a lot when I was stocking the finca and they do the job well: http://www.mitrelinen.com/products/bedr ... protector/ I am calling them 'disposable' but they're washable and can be reused several times. They don't add bulk which the quilted ones do.

We have some of the cheaper envelope IKEA ones and are switching to the more expensive zipped ones with the striped piping as they wear out. I bought a few of each kind when we started using them, and the more expensive ones have really lasted very well. Well worth the money in my opinion, they have outlasted the pillows. They make the pillows feel much nicer, too.
