I can imagine your thoughts, Pete. The end of an era and a time for reflection, I would think. I know what you mean about the dogs; they either keep you sane or drive you nuts depending on the way you look at it, particularly first thing in the morning.

We have the house up for sale but not hopeful so the plan is to stay here, with closed doors , I'm 70 next year and need more time to do the garden and other things, also fed up with the cost of advertising, can't even imagine the problems you guys have with od etc

Good luck with the next phase of your life's adventure, Pete. I just hope your dogs don't demand breakfast/attention/whatever at 6 in the morning - unlike our alarm cat!

Enjoy your retirement Pete and Mrs Pete, I'm sure you will. We baled out a couple of years back and it's mostly been plain sailing. I've said it before, when it stops being fun, stop!

Happy belated retirement Pete. Baled out ourselves at the beginning of September so haven't been here for a while. If you're for sale, try putting your place on the Acceuillir Magazine website - that's how we found our buyer.
