Multilingual option for Wordpress?

Do any of you with a Wordpress website have a multilingual option? My website is currently in English but I want to add copy in French. I'm not sure whether I need a widget or a plugin and if so, which one to go for. Any recommendations?

We have a booking engine for both Wordpress and Joomla, and most of our Wordpress users seem to like Polylang the most. It seems easy enough to setup although I haven't built an entire site using it.

I use WPML, works well though I haven't translated everything yet!

Thanks. I will investigate polylang and WPML. q-translate-x has also been mentioned.
