New website review

Post by Felicanda »

Hi all

After my first attempt to make a website and severely messing up the coding trying to change a box colour I've created a new one, hopefully taking into account some comments from here.

I'd be grateful for any comments on this one:
http://jolinew.weebly.com/

The URL is just whilst I finish it off then it will move to my proper one.

Thanks if advance

Nice simple, clean.

Slight confusion on your home page. Headline says it sleeps 6 in large bedrooms, but key facts below that says sleeps 4.

Thanks Richard.

I've amended the text to change that.

Lovely view!

Two spelling mistakes occur throughout:

Seperate WC should be separate
Unless used as the name Appartement Joli, the word apartment should be apartment not appartement.

In details of the apartment, you have "Moutain Biking"
Key Facts on the apartment page still show sleeps 4.

The Apartment - Discover More page
Main Living Space is the best place to unwind

Overall, a lovely clean-looking, uncluttered site. Well done!

Nice clear design and the accommodation looks great!

The only advice I'd have is to make it more clear where your gallery is as thats what most people first look for to get an idea of the place.

But its clear to see why you're well booked for this season :) !

Hi

Like the site , really good

My only feedback is

- Maybe have the extra photos as a "Photo Gallery" with a Page on the menu at the Top

- Maybe add an arrow to the picture "Appartement Joli building" to show exactly where the apartment is located

Hope that helps

Hi Felicity, I love the clean look of it, in particular the landing page. I would recommend getting a professional photographer and consider larger pictures. I also think that the photos could make more out of having a drink while looking at the view. A photographer could set up these kind of pictures - always think of illustrating what guests love doing best in your accommodation. Prospective guests want to be led and seduced - you need to provide that link. I also suggest making sure there are no spelling mistakes in the copy. A website should always be a work in progress, so every so often, read it again and think how best to communicate the advantages of staying at your place rather than that of your competitors.
