Hi there,

Has anyone any experience with dreamvillarentals.com? I've had an email from them offering free listing for a year providing I link to their site. They're not offering reciprocal links to mine though........... :(

Has anyone heard of them? The site is clean and easy to use although lacks photo facilities, only allowed 4 pics :(

What do you think?

Kathy,

Some years ago, I had a similar invite to advertise with dreamvillas.com. As the site looks nothing like the one that you mention, I am not sure if it is the same. It had beautiful villa photos on the home page. As I got no booking from them and only a couple of enquiries, I decided not to go with them when they asked about a paid listing. It seemed that it was geared towards the US market.

cheers,
Maria

How weird! I've just tried it again several times and the address keeps changing to a btwholesale site!! But on the 4th attempt it went through so I've copied and pasted the address http://www.dreamvillarentals.com/ :?

Very strange :? Don't understand

Nice looking site if you can get there.................

Yes, the link worked but when I entered it in Google originally it didn't appear at all. Did you read the glowing testimonials? Someone supposedly listed on 20 other paid for sites and yet one third of all bookings came from this company? Mmmm..

Hi Kathyg :D

A site that comes & goes doesnt seem like a good Idea .
also I think it seems a bit expensive for a newcomer....if its not a newcomer its not well known anyway.....

It does seem to ring a bell with me but Im not sure why, maybe they contacted me in the past....

Haven't we commented on this site recently?

Every one of those testimonials sounds 'too good to be true' and they have similar typos - slight coincidence?

The dodgy weblink sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.

Reassuring to hear they're award-winning, though. Now, which award could that be?

Hi All,

I may be able to shed some light on the subject, I run/own www.dreamvillarentals.com :)

The site is online 24/7 - just needed to add the www part.

The site has been online now for a few years. Its far for perfect and does need to catch up a LOT on the facilities side of things to compete against some of the 'big boys' - but im working on it.

Anyhow, to answer question Kathyg. Theres no catches in the offer I made you. Its simply you get some free advertising and in return I get a link to the site, which in turn will help it climb up in G, Y and others for whatever the keywords/phrase used.

Sorry for the confusion

Kind regards

Mark

Hi Mike

Well that makes a change.!

At least someone posting and saying straight off that he runs/owns a site, normally we have to beat about the bush a bit .

I expect someone else to start asking the pertinent questions.......

Yes, thanks for owning up Mark-you get Brownie points for that :-). I thought the site looked familiar too, still not sure why. Your testimonials do look rather, hum, unusual :?
