Minor Vent: 1am arrival?

From the moment they step through the door your bookings become guests, and their experiences determine whether they ever come back.

Debk dont tie yourself up in knots about this, you and your guest agreed to the 4pm checkin and now you find yourself in a different situation not caused by you.

Those that are on site are so fortunate that you see your guests and have a rapour with them, we dont and have fantastic people who do, rather it was us.

Should our guests arrive outwith the agreed time we inform them where the key is; the hamlet could  and our property managers will visit the next day to assist them.

It'll be ok, who could they not love your place.lol

Thanks, johnel. With good feedback from the LMH team, I'm feeling great about the whole thing.

The guest is confident she'll be able to find the place in the dark with no problems. She's been relatively understanding about the fact that I'm not going to wait up for her... though I think she was as surprised to learn that bit of news as I was to receive her note about the change of arrival time. But all's well and I look forward to meeting them. I think they are going to have a wonderful time, as that's always energizing!!

Hi Deb :D

after reading Johnels posting thought I ought to have a
look.......

Shes right your places look brilliant.... and unique.....went onto the Portugal one and also had a Nosey at the reviews .

You must be very pleased with all the positive comments and good for you for posting the odd negative....
Im with you if people start using bad language I stop listening....
But it made the other comments stand out even more......

I had a
peak at Rozs photos arent they great...is theyre any way you could use any of them?.

I wouldnt worry about someone whos booked your place getting there, they must realise it might be a bit awkward to find by your details......

If they wanted a one road from the airport sort of place...
theyd have booked somewhere like where we are in Torre.....[some still get lost though....] shouldnt be allowed out without an escort.[or after dark].....

Please keep us all posted were dying to know how things pan out......

Im sure everything will be fine you usually find that the ones you think are going to be difficult arent
and the ones that should be a piece of cake are a real pain

Being on site , I always forget that most of you are not only not on site but in a different country, and of course if you are not there, you cannot go trekking out to let them in at 1am. they have to make it on their own, in which case I think it should be in the morning

Difficult for travellers to arrive in the morning though, they're usually setting off from home now. and we/our cleaners have to clean from the previous guests. Late afternoon is therefore definitely a better option.
