I get my fair share of spam and have been using Mailwasher for some time, getting some kind of smug satisfaction when I bounce the e-mail.
Just recently I have been getting messages which Mailwasher won't bounce as the return path has been forged as my own address.
What is the point of this? How do I contact them when I want to purchase Viagra, marry a Russian girl, enhance parts of me which don't exist, view free porn and all the other exciting offers I receive on a daily basis?
I then got thinking if they are doing it to me thay may be doing it to other completely innocent addresses who are receiving bounce reports for messages they have not even sent.
I am now wondering whether I should just delete and not bother with the bounce. What opinions please.

My feeling is that any spammer worth his salt is not going to give out his e-mail address, so bouncing would only work with the occasional amateur, and best just to ditch them to your trash can.
If you need to get these products, then don't most point you to a website in my experience? Although I do recommend caution - not with the products - but visiting their website and clicking on their links.
Do Mailwasher have a Forum or tech support? They might give you some leads specific to their software.
Good luck.

Hi Ros
No couldn't manage all that it one day as I first have to deal with as a priority all the URGENT SECURITY NOTIFICATIONS.
The worst ones to deal with are the ones where you don't actually have an account with them and it is quite time-consuming to invent all those details. After all I wouldn't want my accounts to be suspended - would I?
