Dear Manager,

fen-acreholidaylet name application for registration
confirmation, please read the following letter:

We are an agency engaging in registering brand name
and domain names. Today, Our center received an application from TronDen Trade
Co and they apply to register fen-acreholidaylet as their brand name and some
top-level domain
names(.CN .HK etc). We found the main body of domain names is same as your
company name. I am not sure about the relationship between you and them. Please
tell me whether or not your company authorizes them to register names.


We are dealing with the application and we need to confirm whether you
have authorized them? If you don't authorize them, please reply me an e-mail.

I think it is a little odd. If you have a website with a domain name registered to you, no one can then use your web address.

Who manages your domain name? Perhaps worth comtacting them. Also, you can doible check your domain name is registered to you, or your service provider, by going to Whois.

There are so many scams, via email and 'phone. If you sense it is a scam, it very likely is....IMHO.

Yup, I get this Spam quite a lot. Just bin it.

As far as I can see they are offering to register yourdomainname with .ch .hk and other bizarre and non-useful TLDs and they will no doubt charge you a fair old whack for something you almost certainly don't need and anyway could do yourself if you really wanted to.

To answer JanB: you probably have yourdomainname.co.uk and/or yourdomainname.com but anyone can register yourdomainname.nl (netherlands) or yourdomainname.hk (HongKong) etc etc and many hundreds of other TLDs (Top Level Domain Suffices).

I agree, that email is just trying to sell a .Ch or .HK suffix which is useless, .uk, co.uk and .com or .org being the ones most useful in UK.
