house or holiday let insurance

my house has bricks and mortar and contents insurance as it taken 2 years to refurbish it to holiday lets which will be complete in a couple weeks time, would I need to inform the insurance company of my intensions to let it out, I know I will need liability insurance just in case of personal accidents etc to guest.... on insurance what is needed

Yes you will. Your existing insurer may not cover you at all for a holiday rental property unless you took cover on the basis that this was your intention originally. It tends to be the province of specialist insurers.

As always, NFU are very good for this and they include public liability insurance and cover for loss of income if you have a disaster.
