HomeEscape tie-in with HomeToGo

Post by Igor »

I've just had an email from HomeEscape, saying that their listed properties are now exposed on HomeToGo.

That's all lovely, but HomeToGo is an aggregator site that makes money by referral fees. So presumably they have struck a deal.

What doesn't make sense is that HomeEscape is a free to list site - or so I thought, so where on earth does it get money to pay referral fees? The email doesn't explain.

I received an email from Homescape earlier this year offering a reduced subscription of USD199 per year, rising to USD 350 after promotion. With no enquiries or referrals to website in the previous 18 months I won't be subscribing.
