Hi Helen

Yes, the island itself is very quiet out of season but we are fortunate in being on the golf part as we are midway between the beaches and the town and of course the town is a working one and doesn't 'close'. It is actually a great out of season destination with the proximity to Seville and the Donana national park etc, just have to wait for people to realise that I suppose. We are aslo luckier than most of the predominantly owned Spanish beach apts in that our pool is open Easter till end October. Having said that, I visited Vilamoura in October once and found it depressingly quiet, I suspect that most 'sunny' holiday destinations are the same.
Don't waste energy on things you can't change.

They appear to have totally lost the use of the pool.
