Tourism funding for converting an attached barn

Hi all,
Looking at moving to Wales and having at least one holiday let to support myself. I've seen quite a few properties, all at varying stages (some with lets already, some with outbuildings, some with nothing!).
The owner of one of the places we viewed mentioned they have had grants from the government or tourist board to try and encourage tourism in the area. This was for conversion of outbuildings into a store and a utility area. They even suggested the tourist people contacted them saying they had spare cash and could they use it for anything!
I wondered if anyone knew whether this sort of grant would be possible to actually convert a barn into a holiday let itself? When I've looked on their website I can't find a definitive answer so wondered if anyone had any experiences at all?
