I sympathise Anglo Dutch.. especially when you have to try to repair / replace items between sets of guests

We had guests who must have burnt the frying pan and got a new (cheap)replacement, but we have an induction hob and their replacement doesn't work... I'd rather they just told us it needed replacing and let us get a new one.
