New Member - New Website - Please review - Thank you

Post by website »

Hi there.

I am new to this website and forum but may I say thank you for such a unique service.

I have recently finished building my website for my apartment in Bansko, Bulgaria.

www.banskobulgaria.co.uk

Could anyone have a look and post their views please.

Hopefully this website will prove a success !!

All comments greatly received.

Cheers :D

Hi
Just love those little coloured balls and letters which float around under the cursor. In fact, I spent so much time playing with them, that I couldn't concentrate on the site.

It's a serious comment - or was I just being childish?

Run an online spell checker through the whole site - needs tweaking.

That running header image (gondolas in background) throughout most of the site - is it raining or is that some interference?

Seriously good value prices.

Lots of coloured balls - they're great, and you can spin them around the whole page - completely hooked on them. (Just a single bottle of Fendant tonight, honest). Using IE6, XPPro, Mrs G on the bicycle generator - we've got a power cut - maybe that's it, and she's flagging.

No balls using Firefox, though, so looks browser specific. Wind up IE - they're cool.

Lots of coloured balls - had a quick peak.

The accommodation looks good with pool, jacuzzi, etc. I wouldn´t mind a visit myself but it is unlikely that there are any direct flights from here.

Bit of a distraction though, I preferred viewing in FF, as I couldsee the site better, it's good too.

Me too!!....I was bouncing them up and down, left to right..swirly wirlys...figure of 8's...trying to catch them out with the cursor...nifty little burgers!!

Ahem..! back to topic..site looks good, clear and well presented...would like to see pictures of the inside of the apartment though (or have they not been completed yet?)

Ah ha, did you manage to knock the tail red one? Not sure if I liked them, have to admit played with them a while.

Would like to see internal photo's, or did I miss them. Great idea the web cam; couldn't see though not working.

Hi there.

The web cam only works during the ski season.

Thanks for comments.

Hi Oskar.

I think people might play with them if they are reviewing the website but if people went to the site because they were looking to book a skiing holiday, that might be a little different.

They might play for a minute and then book. That's the plan anyway !!

Also, it's quite unique and sticks in peoples mind.

I do appreciate all comments though.

Cheers, :D

I think you're onto something cool,Website, but not sure about the uniqueness.

(Looks like IE only, or maybe Netscape, bye bye Firefox, nice knowing you)

and these are a bit weird:
Spooky Eyes
(I suppose they are eyes? The imagination is nudged a bit)

or restaurant menus?
Fly with on/off switch

and this text is great:
Cool, slow text following cursor

gotta drag Mrs G from this:
Even more balls on string

Any way to dump this on a competitor's homepage?
Ants

Could you teach us how to use the scripts? I've tried dumping your homepage cursor script onto a webpage of html, but nogo. Would appreciate your help. Here it is:

<p><!--gem:tlx.tlx.animated_cursors--><script>var animation_p1="Bansko Bulgaria";</script><script language="JavaScript" src="http://twe04.svcs.sitebuilderservice.co ... pt><!--end gem--><!--"''"--></p>

Hi MG.

Thanks for your comments and cursor postings.

Those ants are rather creepy !! Don't fancy those !

They all look great though.

I have received good feedback from most people that have been on the site. Some of the members on here seem to like it as well, but I am just trying to convert this into rentals at the moment.

Looking at the best (cost effective) ways of doing this !!

Competition is fierce in Bansko, so I though I would build a site that was user friendly but also had "cool" things on.

Thanks again for your posting.
